Bongani Gosa is the Founder and Creative Director of BWD Advertising; a full service communication agency that helps businesses and people to grow. Under Bongani’s leadership, BWD has shown extraordinary growth for a business of its size and humbly boasts numerous exceptional achievements. This includes being featured in a major publication like Financial Mail, several published opinion pieces, landing blue chip clients including a conglomerate like T-Systems and Wits and creating award-winning work that resulted in UJ scooping up a MACE award. Bongani also believes in paying it forward by sharing what he has learnt through internship programmes, complementary speaking and a NPO named “Each on Teach One” – that offers free mentorship to other struggling entrepreneurs.
Bomikazi is responsible for, among other things, day-to-day operations, and management of the company. Key responsibilities include defining and implementing the company’s long term strategy, cultivating business development efforts and overseeing service excellence. As an effective advertising executive, she also oversees recruitment of new clients, negotiating contracts and daily client maintenance. Bomi holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English & International Relations from the University of Witwatersrand. She is a public speaker, writer, and speaks Isi-Xhosa. She is a serial reader and has infinite passion & curiosity to reveal the real motivations behind human behavior and to understand social transformation. She believes that advertising is finding the right solution for a business problem. She is basically responsible for getting things done at BWD Advertising and is proud to work with this exceptional team.
Sibusiso’s professional history is a case in point for the phrase: “the harder I work, the luckier I get.” He started working as a data capturer in high school already and from there, he kept on putting in the elbow grease required – to maximise every opportunity that came his way. As such, he co-founded BWD Advertising – at a remarkably young age.
Apart from his dogged persistence and devotion to “work as hard as it takes,” Sibusiso’s humility has to be a sure contributor to his success. He prefers to talk about “lessons learnt” rather than “achievements.” He also believes one should learn a new skill every year, instead of sitting on your laurels and thinking “I have arrived.” Plus, rather than blowing his own trumpet, he prefers to measure himself by the growth and results achieved for clients.
